Brazilian Walnut is famous for its durability, high density and exceptional hardness. A native species to the Amazonian Rainforest, Brazilian Walnut are also known for its relatively high insect resistance. Color can vary from light yellowish tan with green overtones to almost blackish brown. The grain is fine to medium, from straight to somewhat irregular. Janka test measures this wood with 3,670, which makes Brazilian Walnut one of the hardest woods available. The dimensional Stability is 8.0.
