Brazilian Teak (CUMARU) is very hard and stable. At almost three times the hardness of Red Oak, it can withstand high amount of traffic. Similar to the Brazilian Walnut, the Brazilian Teak is also known to be resistant to insect and fungi. The tone ranges from golden tan to medium brown, mixed with certain dark brownish pieces. Some planks also exhibit very dark strips. Under the light, Brazilian Teak will gradually change to a uniform light brown. The hardness is 3,540 with a dimensional stability of 7.6.
