Because bamboo is not considered to be tree, there is no Janka hardness rating. Bamboo is a type of grass, and its hardness and stability depends on whether it is horizontal or vertical construction.

Unfortunately, there is no definite answer to which is more durable. However, as a rule of thumb, proper care and maintenance will ensure longetivity in your floor.
